  1. The worker looks at the tablet

    The mounted tablet detects the face and checks image quality. No touching, no card to swipe, no app to open.

  2. Liveness is verified

    Is this a real person, or a photo or video held up on a phone? The liveness check always runs BEFORE identity matching; if it fails, the process stops right there.

  3. Identity is matched on the device

    The face is converted into an irreversible mathematical template and compared against the tablet's encrypted local list. Whether it is an entry or an exit is decided from the person's last movement.

  4. The event reaches your panel

    The record syncs to your management panel. With no connection it waits on the tablet and is sent automatically, without duplicates, once the internet returns.

How biometric data is protected

Face recognition is sensitive. idarely's data design started from that assumption.

Processing biometric data carries specific legal obligations in most countries. Check the regulations where you operate before rolling out.

What people ask most before rolling out.

Are our face photos kept on the server?

No. Raw face images are stored neither on the tablet nor on the server. Only an irreversible mathematical template is kept, and that template is encrypted both on the device and on the server.

Do we lose attendance records if the internet goes down?

No. The tablet is fully functional offline; recognition and logging happen on the device itself. Events queue on the device and are sent automatically, without creating duplicates, once the connection returns.

Can it be fooled with a photo or a video?

The system includes passive liveness detection that runs before identity matching, so photos and videos shown on a phone are rejected. The liveness threshold can be tuned per company. No system is perfect: idarely does not hold an independent liveness certification (iBeta, ISO/IEC 30107-3).

Do we need to buy special hardware?

No. A standard Android tablet with a front camera is enough. No dedicated attendance terminal, card reader or special wiring is required.

What happens if the tablet breaks or is reset?

Face templates are backed up encrypted on the server. Install the app on the new tablet, enter the terminal access key, and the records are restored — you do not need to enroll workers again.

Does it open doors or turnstiles?

No. idarely does time and attendance tracking; it does not control door, lock or turnstile hardware. Door release is out of scope for the product.

Can I manage multiple companies from one installation?

Yes. The platform is multi-tenant: each company manages its own workers, shifts and reports, and data is isolated between companies. The panel and the tablet are available in Turkish, Azerbaijani and English.

How is this different from QR code check-in?

QR check-in is quick to set up but has two holes: the code can be passed around as a screenshot, and a location-spoofing app can make a phone look like it is at the workplace. With idarely what gets read is a face, not a code, and the liveness check rejects photos and videos before any identity matching. The record comes from a specific tablet mounted at the door rather than the worker's phone, so there is no client to spoof. Note: idarely does NOT use GPS or location tracking — verification happens on the device itself, which is fixed in place.
